We welcome your visit to our twice a month Sunday meetings, from 10:15 to 11:45 am, with free parking, in the Montgomery County Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Avenue (2nd floor conference room 2F, behind the cafeteria), Rockville, Maryland 20850.

Li-Ming Toastmasters Club empowers members to realize their dreams in developing their communication and leadership skills, finding the courage for self-improvement, and ultimately, achieving their full potential. The club's mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. Its members practice the art of speaking, listening, and thinking - all vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of humankind.

A new Toastmasters member receives a New Member Kit. The kit features a copy of the basic communication and leadership manual, general orientation materials, and information regarding skill improvement in areas such as speech evaluation and body language. The Toastmasters program has a variety of assigned speeches to help you develop competency in areas such as organization, voice inflection, and persuasiveness. The program provides workshop style success/leadership programs. As your communication skills improve, you gain recognition, and promotion may follow within the workplace. As your presentation skills improve, you win the respect and admiration of your colleagues and employers. As your participation in Toastmasters broadens, you escalate your management potential. As a member of the Toastmasters Club, you have access to a wide range of educational materials.
